Why? Because it has been proven that Firefox is more secure than Internet Explorer and it was faster than Internet Explorer. That’s just the main reason; the other reason is Firefox has numerous numbers of add-on/extension that can enhance your browsing experience. IMHO the second reason makes this browser better than any other browser.

Using Firefox without add-ons is like using most recent high tech cell phone only for call and SMS. Here are some add-ons that I recommend:

1. Adblock Plus

   This add-on is really useful if you don’t want to be annoyed by advertisements when you are browsing. This add-on will block most common ads on the net, you can also customize which one you want to see and which one you want to block too. If you want to improve the function of this add-on by using Adblock Plus Element Hiding Helper to choose any element of the site you want to block. Using these 2 will ensure that your browsing experience will much more comfortable without any annoying ads.

2. Greasemonkey

   This add-on will make a website looks like what you want to see. It will make custom script available to a particular website. You can search and download the script separately on userscript.org. One of my favorite scripts is Rapidshare Link Checker, it will check the availability of any Rapidshare link (and/or more than 50 other file hosting companies link) that displayed on any websites. There are still many other scripts that has great feature to increase your browsing experience performance. The more popular the site, the scripts will be available on userscript.org.

There are still many other great add-ons available from Mozilla Add-ons that I will not mention one by one. Just install add-ons that you really want to use, too much add-ons decrease your computer performance.

If you like download videos, music, or files from the internet. This is one of the must buy software. This software will automatically take over any download from your internet browser. It is also support to download from some file hosting website that usually block download manager. Also if you have premium account from any file hosting website, you can add all the sequence link to queue immediately from a text file and download it one by one or two by two and so on based on your preferences. The main advantage of using this software is you can resume download that you have paused or cancelled because poor internet connection (unless if you use free account on some file hosting website). Roboform is the external password manager that can be used on Firefox and Internet Explorer. You just have to memorize one ultra secure (make sure it is) master password to open the Roboform, and all the rest of your online accounts will be stored and encrypted with that software. You can generate secured password that even you will be never guessed . You should only use it on your very personal computer (nobody else should have access to your computer when your Roboform is unlocked). You should backup the file regularly to prevent any unwanted accident .
